21st November 2017 – Ferrari has debuted its most powerful production car to date in Hong Kong – the 800 cv 812 Superfast. The new Ferrari made its official premiere at the showroom of official dealer Blackbird Concessionaires Limited in Repulse Bay on 21st November 2017. Mr. Enrico Galliera, Senior Vice President for Commercial and Marketing of Ferrari SpA, Mr Matteo Torre, President and CEO of Ferrari Greater China and Mr. John Newman, Chief Operating Officer of the Blackbird Automotive Group - parent company of Blackbird Concessionaires Limited - attended the unveiling ceremony to celebrate the premiere of this flagship V12 Berlinetta. The unveiling of this stunning new model marks a significant milestone as the first launch for Ferrari since the appointment of Blackbird Concessionaires as its official dealer in Hong Kong.
Powered by a new 6.5-litre V12, the 812 Superfast represents a new benchmark in the front mid-engined sports car segment, achieving a maximum power output at 8,500 rpm, which ensures the kind of thrilling top-end performance that is exclusive to Ferrari’s V12s. Maximum torque is 718 Nm @ 7,000 rpm, a significant 80 per cent of which is already available at 3,500 rpm, improving driveability and pick-up at low revs.
The 812 Superfast is striking for both its highly innovative design and aero package, as well as its unparalleled handling. It is the first Ferrari to introduce Electric Power Steering (EPS) which, in-line with Ferrari tradition, is used to fully exploit the performance potential of the car. The introduction of the Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0 system (PCV) combines electric front-wheel steering assistance with a mechanical concept based on tyre dimensions and rear-wheel steering. This is all integrated with the vehicle dynamics control systems, based on Version 5.0 of the SSC, with the aim of improving agility and response time to steering wheel inputs. Deliveries of the 812 Superfast to customers will commence in the fourth quarter of this year.

Blackbird Concessionaires has also taken this opportunity to showcase a second iconic front-engined V12 Ferrari. On display in the Repulse Bay showroom is a 1961 250 GT Berlinetta SWB. Recognised as one of the most beautiful cars ever made and one of the first GTs to combine luxury with true sports car performance born of Ferrari’s racing pedigree, it’s the perfect complement to the new 812 Superfast. Both cars epitomise this design philosophy perfectly.
